1. What operating system(s) does
Dharma Tribe work on and what are the system requirements?
It
runs on both Window's and Macintosh.
For Windows,
32mb RAM is required,
on Windows 98 or later. For Macintosh, at
minimum a Power Macintosh or later with
256 mb RAM, running OS 10.1 or higher.
2.
Can my students enroll in classes or workshops online? And what
about purchases?
Yes. If using the hosted version of Dharma Tribe, you can enjoy
integration of KULA NET which interfaces with your website to
allow real-time enrollment and purchases.
3. What is the
development platform used to create
Dharma Tribe?
Filemaker Pro 9.0
4. Do I need
additional software to run
Dharma Tribe?
No, unless you use Dharma Tribe Hosted
software.
In this instance you need FileMaker Pro 9.0.
(With Dharma Tribe
Hosted software a Filemaker Pro License is included with
the set up fee)
5. Can
Dharma Tribe
be networked on a
LAN, accessed remotely or used at multiple locations? Unlimited
workstations can be set up if you are using Dharma Tribe
Hosted software. For instance, you can have multiple
computers at your office or work from home or while traveling all at
the same time. In order for multiple users to be logged in
simultaneously, you will need Filemaker Pro on each computer logged
in.
6. Can
Dharma Tribe
data be exported to Quickbooks,
Excel Pdfs, or other software?
Yes, your data can be imported or exported to or from
any software
using "comma delineated" fields which
are compatible with Microsoft Excel, Quicken, Quickbooks
and others.
You may also use the built in features such as "save as Excel"
or "save as a .pdf"
7. Does
Dharma Tribe
have
the capability to do Automatic Credit Card Transactions
(ACC)?
Yes. your customers may purchase products
through the KULA NET student access interface and/or at the
studio location through Dharma Tribe.

8. Does
Dharma Tribe
support automatic
renewal of monthly recurring membership scenarios?
Yes, a product can be designated as a monthly
recurring membership, and the system will either automatically or manually renew the
relevant memberships on the dates they expire. This can be used in
conjunction with the built-in credit card processing feature for
full automation of the process.
9. Does
Dharma Tribe support auto sign
in?
Yes, you can print ID cards directly from the
software which includes barcode. (You’ll need a simple barcode
font.) Your students can
use this id or pre-printed key tags with your company logo to
either swipe-in or scan into a specific class roster.
10. Does
Dharma Tribe
allow for bar-coded
price tag printing?
Yes, from Dharma Tribe you can print bar-coded price tags with your logo in either multiple
units or one at a time. All that is required is barcode 39 font
which can be found in
your fonts folder.
11. Can I send
bulk-emails from
Dharma Tribe
? Yes,
Dharma Tribe will automatically launch your
default email server and populate
the “send to”
section with the email results of selected criteria when using the
“send bulk email” function. If the criteria you desire aren’t
available as an automatic selection, you can run a “find” and
then easily export the relevant email list. You may also
create lists to be sent our through our dynamic email partner ,
Constant Contact.
12.What
is your refund policy?
Customers
using Dharma Tribe Hosted software are entitled to a 30 day
money back satisfaction guarantee. Dharma Tribe desktop customers
are not entitled to refunds because of the generous time afforded
them to "test" the software.
Dharma Tribe Hosted Software may be cancelled anytime during the
first 30 days after purchase, and you will receive a refund of your
setup fee less direct labor costs for any hosting, training, or
database importation work performed by Dharma Tribe staff. Dharma
Tribe currently charges $300 for phone training, $400 plus expenses
for location training and $50 per table for database importation
work.
