Instructor Pay/Sub Availability

Instructor Pay

Enter a primary and/or secondary pay profile for instructor pay reports. Choose a Base rate with bonus or a percentage of class revenue. Each roster will automatically default to the instructor’s “primary” pay set up. If you select the “Secondary” radio button the instructor’s pay report will indicate the secondary rate. If you select “Empty Class”, the Empty Class Rate will be paid instead of the primary or secondary pay profile.

In the example below, for the "Primary" pay profile, the teacher is paid $5 per student for the first 5 students and $3 per student once the threshold of 5 has been reached.  The "base rate" is set at $10, meaning the teacher is paid $10 even if no one comes to class.  Therefore, the $5 per student really kicks in with the 3rd student in a class, because the third student is the one who takes it over the $10 minimum threshold.

The "Secondary" profile is based on a percentage; here that percentage is 50%.  This type of pay scale is great for events such as workshops, but not necessarily as good when dealing with everyday classes.

Defining Sub Availability
