Using the Virtual
Terminal
The Virtual Terminal is
a tool you can use to view your credit card processing account.
You may use this for many different reasons, some of which are outlined
below. You may access your virtual terminal directly through
Dharma Tribe by using the Virtual Terminal button which appears
at the bottom of every invoice.

This will open a window which
will ask you for your login information. You received this login
information when you set up your merchant account.

Once you are logged into your
virtual terminal, you may do various things.

The "Virtual Terminals" tab
within the Virtual Terminal allows you to manually enter a credit
card number and charge it directly on the system. You may need to
do this if the magnetic stripe on someone's credit card is worn out, for
example.
You may use the "Current
Batch" tab to find transactions that you have run on the same day.
This will allow you to void transactions before the batch closes, or you
may use it to double check that a transaction has gone through
correctly.
You may also use the "Find
Transactions" section to search for older transactions by date or
customer name (or amount, or many other pieces of information you may
have). For older transactions, if you are issuing a refund from
the Virtual Terminal, you will be given the option to credit the
customer's card for the amount.
You do not need to close your
daily credit card batches manually. This will happen
automatically.
