Dharma Tribe evolved out of an auspicious confluence of people, ideas, and right/left brain energies in Southern California in 2001.

After considering their options for studio management software, the founders of Sacred Movement/Exhale Spa in Santa Monica, California contacted Stuart Hanna (founder of Dharma Tribe) and asked him to create a more intuitive and intentional system.

Stuart began his search for the best talent in the business to assist in creating Dharma Tribe. He hired P. Daniel Tyreus, PHd. to work at the highest standard of programming to create a web-based system that would retain the nuances of a desktop software. 

Over the last five years, the Dharma Tribe team has worked in the "lab setting" of a real life yoga studio, assessing and responding to  its day-to-day operations. Dharma Tribe is constantly evolving from the perspective of the life of a studio owner who's balancing the needs of desk staff, students, accountants and the ever-changing demands of the marketplace. 

The result is Dharma Tribe.

In addition to founding StudioWorks, Stuart owns Mission Street Yoga with his wife Mara. Both of them also, work as screen writers and Producers. Stuart recently adopted "The Fifth Sacred Thing" and co-wrote the screenplay with the novel's author,
